First Race in the Books…Piquet Jr. kicked off his NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) full-season campaign in the No. 30 WORX Chevrolet at the DRIVE4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway this past weekend. During the final practice session, the Brazilian driver finished inside the top five, showing he was a threat for the victory in the season-opening event. In his two previous starts at the 1-mile oval in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Piquet Jr. went on to record one pole and one top-ten finish (both in 2012), with eight laps lead. Watch and Listen…The Dollar General 200 fueled by AmeriGas can be seen live on Saturday, March 2 on ESPN2.  Race coverage will begin at 4 p.m. EST. The event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90. Nelson Piquet Jr. on his first NNS race in Phoenix: “I’m looking forward to getting behind the wheel at Phoenix in the Nationwide car. I’ve only got a couple starts at the track but I feel like Turner Scott Motorsports has a great package for the one-mile tracks and I feel that we can be competitive. I’m enjoying the series’ schedule where we don’t have a long break like the Truck Series has right now, I feel like it gives our team a chance to keep up our momentum coming out of Daytona.”
