NY Giants Central:
The New York Giants have been awarded two compensatory picks in the 6th round of the 2011 NFL Draft, and will look to add depth at key positions since we have already addressed their major needs in the first couple rounds.
To recap, the Giants selected Anthony Castonzo, Bruce Carter, Luke Stocker, and Noel Devine with their first four picks. With the 185th pick, the Giants take QB Greg McElroy from Alabama; with the 198th pick the Giants take Chykie Brown CB from Texas; and with the 202nd pick the Giants take Ronald Johnson WR from USC.

McElroy proved in college that he has a future of being at least a serviceable backup in the NFL. He is an incredibly intelligent QB who makes smart decisions on the field. He rarely turned the ball over while in college, throwing only nine interceptions in 27 games as the starter for ‘Bama.
