The Warriors trailed Sacramento 49-44 in the third quarter Monday night when Andre Iguodala decided to give the Oracle Arena crowd a glimpse of his takeover capabilities. He stole a pass from Isaiah Thomas to spark a 6:46 span of tenacious team defense that didn't allow a single Kings field goal. A little bit later he mixed in some fancy passing highlighted by getting the ball ahead in transition for a Klay Thompson dunk. Finally Iguodala soared on offense - outrunning everyone the length of the court to throw down a one-handed alley-oop. Yep Iguodala can do all of that in a matter of minutes and head coach Mark Jackson plans to use each aspect of the swingman's multifaceted game all season. "He really does open things up for us because he's one of those guys who can play multiple positions and who feels comfortable in all of those positions" Jackson said after the Warriors beat the Kings 94-81. "That's exactly what we envisioned when we went and got him." The Warriors nabbed Iguodala in a three-team sign-and-trade deal with Denver and Utah on July 10 and they signed the All-Star to a four-year deal worth about $48 million. He's already starting to earn the big bucks. In two exhibition games Iguodala has shown the ability to defend opposing point guards and power forwards and anything in between. He's scored out of the post as well as capably initiated the offense for long stretches. Two nights after needing just 21 minutes to put up 15 points in the exhibition opener Iguodala did a little bit of everything with seven points three rebounds three assists and five steals in his Oracle debut wearing the home whites. "I feel good doing all of it but I'm just looking for a comfort level out there on the court and a confidence level so that I'm just playing basketball" Iguodala said. "I'm not taking it lightly. I'm embracing the role. I'm tuned in to the plays being run at all different positions. I'm trying to be ready for all of it."
