The Flying Knee MMA:
Arguably one of the oddest nights in UFC history, UFC 159 featured a record number of technical decisions, several bad stoppages, copious amounts of eye pokes as well as a shortage of highlight reel finishes. One of those eye pokes came at the end of the evening’s co-main event as Michael Bisping managed to cut Alan Belcher near his right eye, leading the referee to stop the action in the third round and bring the fight to a technical decision.
The poke was particularly dangerous as Belcher has previously had two detached retina surgeries on the same eye and many worried that he would require yet another surgery.
Now it appears that Belcher will not need surgery as he took to twitter to explain that he would only require stitches for the cut on his eyelid.
I’m ok.. Just got back from e.r. 8 stitches in eyelid. Disappointed. To my real supporters, I’m sorry, thank you once again.
While the eye poke was an unfortunate ending to an interesting co-main event bout, Bisping was well on ...

The name Michael Bisping is synonymous with the phrase "grudge match." No words are off limits for 'The Count' when he talks about his opponents behind their backs, or right in front of their faces during press conferences, weigh-ins, and anything forum where he knows people are listening. So what exactly could 'The Talent' have possibly said that would...
Prior to watching Jon Jones take on Chael Sonnen at UFC 159 this weekend, fans will be treated to an equally exciting contest between middleweight contenders Michael Bisping and Alan Belcher. Belcher has been calling out Bisping for a quite a while now and the Brit has been doing what he does best–talk trash. Now, after months of back-and-forth verbal battles they will square off...
The fight has come and gone, and at the end of the day it appears as though the Light Heavyweight title fight between Chael Sonnen and Jon Jones was indeed the mismatch that so many people thought it would be.
