Another Bellator welterweight tournament competitor has been forced out of the tournament–this time not due to an injury. Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley has been barred from entering the USA due to assault charges stemming from a bar fight in England. The news was revealed by Josh Gross of ESPN.
Daley was expected to play a pivotal part in the promotions upcoming launch on Spike TV. Now without a spot in the 170lbs tournament and facing up to two years in prison, it is unclear what Daley’s future is like with the organization.
Whist this may be the case, it appears that the British striker has signed to compete at the upcoming Cage Contenders 16 which takes place February 23rd in Dublin Ireland.
