Former Georgia Bulldog All-American punter, Drew Butler, will be waiting to hear his name called in this year’s NFL Draft. Butler, like his famous father before him, drew raves as he punted his way into the hearts of Georgia Bulldog fans everywhere and made a name for himself as one of the all-time greats at his position thus far. Now, he’s moving on to the pro ranks where, hopefully, he could be selected as high as the fourth round (punters are typically drafted and when they are it’s usually in the much later rounds), but his father, and former Chicago Bear kicker, Kevin Butler figures it can’t hurt to get a little help from his friends. Carolina Panthers coach Ron Rivera played with Kevin Butler on the Chicago Bears’ 1985 Super Bowl-winning team. He might get a chance to coach Butler’s son.
