PLAYERS: Peyton Manning
TEAMS: Denver Broncos

With the Denver Broncos now off to a 1-2 to start, people have noticed that Peyton Manning isn’t getting the ball out of his hands the way he used too.  In his defense though, he’s still rehabbing, so we know he’s not 100 percent healthy.

One NFL scout told Albert Breer of the NFL Network that “Peyton Manning can’t throw the ball anymore.”

I think that’s a little harsh, but I do agree that he can’t throw the ball as well as he once did and I believe people have a reason to question his arm strength.

All the Broncos and their fans can hope for is that Peyton only gets better as the season goes on.

  • Knew this would be coming today...Where was this comment when they played Steelers? Broncos sucked in came 3.
  • You are talking about an elite athlete who didn't play for a year, had multiple neck surgeries and is still "rehabing". Did anyone really expect him to come out and pick up where he left off in 2010? He even said there would be a period of time needed to get back to where he was...He will get better and the Broncos will get on the winning track!
  • Living in Colorado I can answer you question with a resounding YES. There are lots and lots and lots of Broncos fans that did expect him to come out and pick up where he left off in 2010. I'm pretty sure that's why they agreed to pay him $96 million over the next 5 years.
  • I'm so tired of people analizing manning, give hime a break n let him get comfortable. I recall the media saying kurt warner was all washed up n could throw the ball after injuries. We've played three top notched teams n played them down to the wire so relax n payton played good sunday recievers not so well the defense a grade d n coaching a grade B
  • Not to mention his receivers are dropping balls that hit them in the hands and they're all still getting used to each other. I'd still take him over all but maybe 5 QBs in the league.

Peyton Manning already nearing the end?

Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos can’t get away from the topic of arm strength since throwing three first-quarter interceptions. It wasn’t the fact the passes were intercepted it was the way the ball looked when they were.  The ball was anything but a Manning-like spiral and in fact, they wobbled.Teammate, Brandon Stokley, brought up a good point. “Ya’ll look for something...

Ron Jaworski says the ball isn’t coming out of Peyton Manning’s hand with a little wobble

During today’s Sportscenter, ESPN’s Ron Jaworski said that he’s concerned with the way the ball is coming out of the hand of Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning. “It’s still a work in progress,” said Jaworski, via ProFootballTalk.com. “And we have to remember Peyton is still going through therapy to get his arm strength to 100 percent. The only thing that really bothers...

Schaub outplays Manning, Texans top Broncos 31-25

For Peyton Manning's detractors, there are no interceptions to analyze this time, no one or two ill-conceived throws to pick apart. There is, however, another loss to dissect, along with the makings of a pattern the Broncos certainly don't want to prolong: Start slow, finish fast, talk about what might have been. The latest defeat came Sunday at the hands of Houston quarterback...

not so easy in the Big Easy

Everybody knew that Peyton Manning is great, but perhaps it took us witnessing the team without him last year to realize just how valuable he is. We are getting the same thing this year with the other Payton (with an “a”), Sean, the coach of the Saints. In a season already filled with surprises, the biggest shocker in Week 3 is the same thing from the opener, how disappointing...

Schaub outduels Manning in Texans' victory

DENVER -- Matt Schaub outdueled Peyton Manning even as he fought through a physical pounding that cost him a little piece of his ear. Schaub matched a career best by throwing for four touchdown passes, and the Houston Texans held off the Denver Broncos 31-25 Sunday for the first 3-0 start in the team's 10-year history. Shaking off a sack in the end zone that resulted in...

Do the Houston Texans have a killer instinct?

It took the Houston Texans nine seasons to finally make the playoffs, so it’s safe to say winning is new to them. Furthermore, the Texans surprisingly fly under the radar a bit and are constantly overlooked during discussions of the NFL’s top teams. And while the whole winning this is new for the franchise, it’s unlikely to last much longer as the Texans continue winning...

Falcons are shaping up as well as any team

It's only three games in, but right now the Atlanta Falcons look as if they are as good as any team in the NFL. With new offensive and defensive coordinators, their makeover appears a success as they improved to 3-0 on Sunday by putting a 27-3 thumping on San Diego, one of only six remaining unbeaten teams in the league. Sunday had set up as a classic "letdown" game...

Houston Texans vs. Denver Broncos: Hero and Zero of the Game

The Broncos vs. Texans game ended up in a score that was not surprising to anyone, but the score does not really tell the story of this game. Once again, Peyton Manning had to play a game of catch-up, scoring 14 points in the 4th quarter and being in it until the end even when the halftime score reflected the Texans were in control of this game, up 21-11 at halftime.    Ultimately...
