The last time the likes of Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson popped up in the sports world, Simpson was jinxing — er, dating — Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. But now her ex-husband, Lachey, may be the one with the better sports story. Lachey, who is known to be quite the Cincinnati Bengals fan, was apparently kicked out of the Bengals-Chargers game Sunday after getting involved in some trash talk with the locals. Lachey headed to San Diego for the game and seemed to be having a great time, even tossing in a “who dey” for his team in the early going. How 'bout them Bengals? #Whodey yfrog.com/esetmpbj— Nick Lachey (@NickSLachey) December 02, 2012 But things quickly took a turn for the worst. Just got kicked out of the chargers stadium and couldn't be prouder! Go Cincy Bengals! #whodey— Nick Lachey (@NickSLachey) December 03, 2012 That didn’t keep Lachey from bragging a little bit after his Bengals had the upper hand and won, 20-13. Bengals win again. i'd talk trash to everyone in SD, but what's the point? you already had me kicked out of the stadium and you still lost.— Nick Lachey (@NickSLachey) December 03, 2012 Lachey at first seemed to be accepting the blame for causing a ruckus in the stands, but then he pointed the finger at someone else for getting him going. Majority of charger fans were awesome yesterday, thanks for the hospitality! Sadly, there is always one guy that ruins it for everyone.....— Nick Lachey (@NickSLachey) December 03, 2012 For the record, i was not kicked out of the chargers game for excessive "trash talking". no, that honor belonged to the guy in front of me!— Nick Lachey (@NickSLachey) December 03, 2012 i simply don't appreciate someone turning around and putting their finger in my face. call me crazy, but that deserved a reaction.— Nick Lachey (@NickSLachey) December 03, 2012 In the end, though, he just wanted everyone to know that the good people of San Diego aren’t so bad. again, aside from a few exceptions, i had a great time hanging with Charger fans all afternoon. honestly, some of the nicest fans around.— Nick Lachey (@NickSLachey) December 03, 2012 While Lachey’s tweets certainly serve as a timeline for the incident, they don’t exactly show what happened. For that, TMZ has stepped into the gap, providing video. In the video, Lachey definitely seems to be saying some things and moving aggressively toward some Chargers fans, although the scuffle that ensues afterward doesn’t involve the former reality TV star. When the security guard with “elite” written across his back comes into the photo, though, the fun times appear to be over. Check it out in the video below. Being part of one of the perkiest shows ever. The Parks and Recreation cast seems to be preparing us for a treat. When’s the cameo? Photo via Tumblr/giveme-a-spin Quote of the Day “Labrum tears in your hip are something that’s kind of new. It’s evolved in this sport, it seems like, in the last decade.” – Brian Cashman, providing insight on how Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez’s body seems to quickly be breaking down Tweet of the Day We like Hawaiians. If Josh Hamilton is out of play for a 3 year contract, I want @ShaneVictorino to play right field for the Red Sox. Sign the Flyin' Hawaiian.— Jon Wallach (@KenGriffeyRules) December 04, 2012 Video of the Day And now the lockout is making some hockey players think about changing careers.
