In a rare Nationwide appearance, Mark Martin pulled off a surprise win, bringing home his 49th Nationwide win (An all-time record) and the first for newly-formed Turner Motorsports, becoming the seventh oldest driver to win a Nationwide race. This is his fourth NNS victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (the last was 2008). He has now won four of the six races he has run at LVMS.
Kyle Busch is only five races behind him in total Nationwide wins with 44. Martin joked he knows Busch will pass him by midseason and
