Remember that time John Abraham was in Foxborough and had a meeting with the Patriots that went so well he was supposedly checking out Range Rovers on route 1? Yeah, well you can officially put an end to John Abraham watch as he signed a two year deal with the Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday according to Adam Schefter.
Although Abraham was still a free agent we should have known back in March that he would eventually land elsewhere. When veterans usually leave a visit without a deal, they rarely sign with the Pats who love doing their homework on free agents. That thought process was only further confirmed in April during the draft, while also taking into consideration the players already on the roster. For those of you who held out hope for the veterans addition, here are three reasons you should actually be excited about the Pats pass rush this season without John Abraham.
Mike Vrabel... I mean Rob Ninkovich has developed into a classic Patriots player. With his knack fo...

The reports are coming in regarding how Tim Tebow performed in his first training camp practice with the New England Patriots and the reviews are not good.
In the midst of Aaron Hernandez’s murder allegations the New England Patriots are still starting training camp this weekend.
Defensive tackle Vince Wilfork says it’s hard to focus on football with something so real going on as well.

FOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots understand they play a game for a living. That’s probably why they stressed the distraction they have faced this offseason is a real-life situation.
That distraction is, of course, the murder investigation regarding Aaron Hernandez. Tom Brady referred to the arrest as a “real-life situation” once, while Vince Wilfork said the phrase six times...
With former Gators tight end Aaron Hernandez facing murder charges in Massachusetts, University of Florida officials have been in the process of removing any trace of his legacy at the school.
On Thursday, a picture of his All-American brick being removed began making the rounds.

Since Tim Tebow came into the NFL, he's been an attraction, like a circus sideshow. ESPN, rightly so, gets most of the blame for hyping Tebow. He hasn't started a regular season game in over a season, but yet everywhere he walks on a field, there are cameras following his every move as if he is actually the royal baby.Alas, ESPN isn't the only guilty party. While watching...
After struggling in his first official practice with the New England Patriots, Tim Tebow reportedly showed more of the same on Saturday. Various Patriots beat writers who watched practice said that Tebow and Tom Brady both struggled in 11-on-11 passing drills and that several balls were batted down. However, Brady is not trying to prove [...]
While the casual fans are wondering what players like Tom Brady and Vince Wilfork think about the Aaron Hernandez situation, the diehards are asking questions like, “what role will Jamie Collins play in training camp?” and “which two tight ends will emerge in Rob Gronkowski‘s absence?”
That first question bears discussing. Collins served two roles at Southern Miss, which...
It’s not smart to make judgments after just one day of training camp, but the Boston Herald’s Jeff Howe did notice a few things on Friday that should be intriguing to Patriots fans.
Defensive end Chandler Jones, who slumped after a stellar start last season as a rookie, made a number of fine defensive plays while an under-the-radar receiver, Kamar Aiken, stood out among Tom Brady‘s...
Patriots season ticket holders recently got their 2013 ticket books for the upcoming season, and would you look at who is on the very first ticket in the bunch? Yup, Aaron Hernandez.
That’s the former Patriots tight end located directly in the center of the tickets to the Patriots’ open minicamp event at Gillette Stadium. Maybe the Patriots printed the tickets prior to the murder...
Yesterday we heard from the Patriots head coach Bill Belichick on the Aaron Hernandez situation. It was the first time someone from the team, other than owner Robert Kraft, had spoken on the topic.
Today, the Patriots team captains are speaking. Tom Brady, Vince Wilfork and Devin McCourty all spoke to the media today. The only topic was Hernandez.
The captains echoed much of what...
BY NICK ST. DENISFour of Tom Brady's top-five receivers from last season are off the current roster, and the one who is still around -- Rob Gronkowski -- likely won't be catching passes until the beginning of the regular season. But if there's one quarterback who can adapt to a change of that magnitude, it's Brady."There’s quite a bit of turnover, like we all...
FOXBORO, Mass. — Every tight end on the Patriots’ roster has been asked about getting increased reps at practice with Rob Gronkowski out with his back injury and Aaron Hernandez gone. And all have answered with some form of “I’m just trying to work hard and get better every day.”
They won’t say it, but it’s valuable for Jake Ballard, Daniel Fells, Michael Hoomanawanui...
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Florida Gators are no longer celebrating Aaron Hernandez.
The University Athletic Association, which funds the school's athletic programs, has removed all references to Hernandez in and around the football stadium. The latest and most public one came Thursday when construction workers pulled up a granite plaque commemorating Hernandez as a first team...
