Last Friday’s tragic grade school shooting in Newtown, Conn. affected anyone who suffered through the detailing of events in a significant way; whether it meant questioning the preponderance of firearms in American society, how to handle and treat potential mental illness, or merely clinging a little tighter to your child’s hand before they skip off to the bus stop in the morning. Judging various personal reactions to the tragedy won’t do much for anyone, so harshly calling into question Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah’s admission that he won’t be pantomiming an old-timey six shooter routine after hitting a jump shot isn’t really in anyone’s best interests. I’m glad to see Joakim Noah was moved enough to make this change. I never liked the guy, but he seems like he has a brain in his head. You can hit the jump to see the video of the celebration that is no more….

Bulls big man Joakim Noah will no longer do his customary "six-shooter" celebration after scoring in light of the tragic events that occurred in Newtown.
Joakim Noah‘s six-shooter celebration was always a little unsettling, especially considering the Bulls center plays in Chicago, where there is just way too much violence.
However, the Florida alum is putting away his guns for good, and he’s saying he now realizes that it’s insensitive, especially given recent events.
Noah says he’s done with the imaginary gun celebration...
Despite shooting a combined 2-for-10 for 2 points and 6 combined assists over the last 2 games, Joakim Noah and the Bulls will not let his woes turn into some controversy.
“The controversy is, there is even a controversy,” Noah said. ”No one is expecting Kirk to be Derrick. What he brings is a component that is very different, and we need that. He locks up [on defense]...
League sources indicate that veteran shooting guard Richard Hamilton has been offered in trade scenarios, efforts that could intensity as the Feb. 21 trade deadline nears.
With a minimal guarantee on a team option for next season, Hamilton’s salary is in essence an expiring contract, which could make him attractive to teams looking to add scoring punch near the deadline.

Taj Gibson tweaked his ankle early in the Chicago Bulls' matchup against the Boston Celtics last night. Fortunately for the injury-riddled Bulls, Gibson was able to play through the pain and contribute a solid 13 points. Even better, the ankle shouldn't keep Gibson from playing Wednesday against the New York Knicks.According to Aggrey Sam of CSN Chicago, the ankle injury...
In last night’s loss to the Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo broke out some kicks that were definitely deserving of a win. Rondo debuted the Nike Air Foamposite One “Fighter Jet”, a sneaker that isn’t set to release until February 9th, 2013. This was the 4th time in 2012 that he wore a pair of Nike Air Foamposites on court. Below, check out some of...
The Bulls may waive Nate Robinson and his non-guaranteed contract by Jan. 10 if Marquis Teague continues to play well in his extended minutes.
The battle of the top East centers was cut short Friday night when Joakim Noah of the Bulls and Tyson Chandler of the Knicks were both ejected from the game. Fighting for rebounding position, Noah and Chandler got tangled up, had to be separated and exchanged pleasantries before being tossed in a bizarre game that saw 9 technical fouls and 4 ejections (Carmelo Anthony, Mike Woodson...
The White Mamba has a challenge, are you read to accept? The former Boston Celtics forward who is now a broadcaster with Comcast SportsNet New England, is sick and tired of hearing fans dog his talent, and that of other players who sit at the end of an NBA bench. While speaking on ESPN Chicago radio, [...]
On Tuesday night the Celtics were in Chicago to take on the Bulls in the final game of their road trip. The Bulls were without their franchise player, Derrick Rose, but have still be solid this season fueled by their tenacious defense. The team also faces two familiar faces in former Celtic, Nate Robinson and former Celtic coach, Tom Thibodeau. Coming into tonight they looked...
Another game, another Celtics loss. It's not time to panic but I sure would love to see them get it together. Bulls fans display their usual Rondo hatred and there's the obligatory wheelchair mention. I've highlighted my favorites in bold. What are yours?
I don't know about tonight, but we will beat these dudes in the post season if we meet.
Brian Scalabrine, now a CSNNE analyst, who recently challenged anyone in Boston to a one-on-one match to prove his athletic superiority, looked at a picture of Tom Thibodeau wearing a Salem State basketball jersey in his 1984-85 team picture. He joked that Thibs’ poor individual defense in college, a real phenomenon according to the coach’s college teammates, was the reason...

COLUMBIA, Md. — The Chicago Bulls were coming off their worst offensive game in five years, an 80-71 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. On the second night of a back-to-back, it was the home team that brought the energy, not the team with two full days of rest. The Bulls (14-10) took it to the [...]
The New York Knicks seemed to miss Carmelo Anthony against the Chicago Bulls earlier this month.
They'll have him on the court Friday night when they attempt to improve the best home record in the NBA against Joakim Noah and the stingy Bulls.
A lacerated finger on his left hand forced Anthony to miss New York's 93-85 loss at Chicago on Dec. 8. Without the superstar forward...
