No Skate at Kettler Today -- Except for Two of the World's Best Players

Today was Media Day at Kettler Capitals -- a chance for local hockey press to chat up the Caps' vets and coaches and the GM before upwards of 70 players take to the ice tomorrow for the formal kickoff to the 2009 training camp. There was no scheduled skating on Saturday, but near noon Alexanders Ovechkin and Semin got the skating bug, and went out to toss the biscuit around a bit. All of the Capitals' players today met the media wearing grey t-shirts bearing the slogan Get Ready . . . It's Our Time.
