Novak Djokovic loves to clown around, and he was at his best during an exhibition match in Brazil two weekends ago.
Djokovic was in Brazil for the inauguration of a public tennis court in the Rocinha shantytown ahead of the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro. He was facing retired three-time French Open champion and Brazilian native Gustavo Kuerten on Saturday Nov. 17 at the Maracanazinho Arena when he decided to mess around during a side change.
Nole took off his shirt and asked four Brazilian models to give him a massage. Filled with plenty of nervousness and laughter, the girls began rubbing his neck, shoulder, and arms. Djokovic, the consummate actor, spread his arms wide and gave a relaxed look on his face before ending the massage with a nod of satisfaction.
The No. 1-ranked player’s jokes didn’t end there. He also put on a wig to impersonate Kuerten:
And the match in Brazil, won by Guga 7-6, 7-5, wouldn’t have been complete without the two men dancing Gangnam Style:
The two finished the weekend by playing soccer before a Brazilian league match on Sunday. Both players scored goals.
Though we appreciate his Guga impression, nothing tops Novak Djokovic impersonating Maria Sharapova.
