If there’s one thing I love about this job, it has to be when we receive a dispatch from the offices of the staff at Rick’s Cabaret in New York. The staff, led by Lonnie Hanover, are the definition of professional. They sense a huge groundswell of attention on Greg McElroy as the new Jets quarterback and suddenly the dancers sound like they work for ESPN. McElroy goes from being some dweeb who looks like he works on Wall Street to the Jets quarterback. Don’t think for a second the girls don’t recognize the implications. They instantly offered the second-year QB out of Alabama a New York style lap dance. As if this guy’s luck can get any better. RICK’S CABARET NEW YORK GIRLS WANT TO THANK GREG McELROY ON LEADING THE JETS TO VICTORY AGAINST THE CARDINALS …AND OFFICIALLY WELCOME HIM TO THE NY JETS QUARTERBACK CONTROVERSY The exotic dancers at the famous upscale gentlemen’s club Rick’s Cabaret in New York City always support their home town teams and congratulate Greg McElroy on his impressive debut with the Jets. “Congratulations on winning,” proclaimed Rick’s Cabaret Girl Beverly. “It was awesome how you came off the bench and got things turned around.” Rick’s Cabaret Girl Courtney agreed, “The Jets were in trouble and you saved the game. Thanks, dude!” “You did great, and now you are officially a member of the NY Jets Quarterback controversy,” said Rick’s Cabaret Girl Mackenzie. “Sanchez, Tebow and now McElroy. Who should start? Who should play?” she wondered. “It’s a fiasco,” said Rick’s Cabaret Girl Amber. “But Greg McElroy is the man of the moment. I went out to try and buy his #14 jersey but they are sold out everywhere!” Rick’s Cabaret Girl Trina had an interesting suggestion for the new QB. “I know you must be under a lot of pressure right now. If you come to Rick’s Cabaret and ask for me I will give you a lap dance that can take your mind off of everything. I promise.” Rick’s Cabaret New York is the favorite club of numerous celebrities and pro athletes from all the major sports. It is the home of the decidedly “UNOFFICIAL” NY Jets Post Game parties, featuring over 100 beautiful topless dancers, a gourmet steakhouse, VIP luxury suites, and a heated rood deck cigar lounge and garden. Listen, even if you don’t like strip clubs and don’t like beautiful women, at least stop into Rick’s to catch a game. Ignore the hot chicks dancing around and watch some meaningless NBA game on one of the LCDs. The Rick’s crew will treat you right and you might even run into McElroy getting a dance from Trina.
