Friday on Examiner.com . . . The best player on the Indianapolis Colts' defense smiled this week when the topic of Ed Johnson arose, the reason for which was two-fold. One, Dwight Freeney -- the aforementioned best player -- very much likes Johnson, and the four-time Pro Bowl defensive end has been vocally supportive of the younger player since Johnson returned to the Colts shortly following last offseason's NFL Draft. The other reason? Well, it's entirely possible and even likely that the other reason was a bit selfish -- albeit, selfish in a positive and understandable way -- and the reason for that is this: The Colts are a better defense -- a better team -- with Johnson around.
