Oklahoma Sooners Football: Brent Venables Has a Decision to Make

It’s decision time for Oklahoma co-defensive coordinator Brent Venables. As of Sunday night, Venables was still the co-defensive coordinator for the Oklahoma Sooners, but had spent most of the weekend in Clemson, SC, visiting with university officials about the open defensive coordinator position for the Tigers. Upon arriving back in Oklahoma City Sunday night, Venables denied reports he had accepted the position at Clemson. Earlier in the day, TheClemsonInsider.com reported that Venables had taken the job and that the decision would be announced later in the week. However, Venables said he had not taken the position, but offered no other comments on the situation. Venables didn’t confirm or deny whether he had been offered the job at Clemson or not.
