Some would say the Red River Rivalry is the best rivalry in College Football. Few will be making that case this season. The No. 12 ranked Oklahoma Sooners and an unranked Texas Longhorns team will meet on Saturday. Last year the Sooners wasted no time disposing of the Longhorns and signs point to a similar occurrence this season. Coverage of the game between Oklahoma and Texas will air on ABC beginning at 12:00 pm ET from the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX.  Oklahoma  vs. Texas W-L 5-0 3-2 Avg Points 31.2 32.4 Avg Points Allowed 13.0 28.4 Home Record 4-0 2-1 Road Record 1-0 1-1 Division Record 2-0 2-0 Conference Record 2-0 2-0 // // The Odds: The Oklahoma Sooners are a 14 point favorite against the Texas Longhorns. Case McCoy got absolutely destroyed by an Oklahoma defender

Texas Longhorns Have Nothing to Lose in the Red River Rivalry

Big 12 supremacy is usually on the line with the Red River Rivalry, but this time the stakes are a lot higher for the Texas Longhorns--or are they? @UT_MackBrown/Twitter Teams always want to beat their rivals. You can be 1-10, but if that one win was against your rival the season wasn’t a total loss. For the Texas Longhorns that would mean beating the Oklahoma Sooners—something...

Oklahoma defense falters for first time this season

DALLAS -- This is what happens when you turn the ball over and can't run the ball or stop the run. You lose, and it's not close. This is what you expect when you give up big plays on special teams and stop making the simple plays that became so common-place the first five games of the season as Oklahoma won at Notre Dame and snuck up close to the top 10 in the national...

Match report: Texas vs Kansas (9)

versus  Big 12 action now, as the defending national champions Texas head to Lawrence, Kansas to face a team I like quite a bit, but who aren't ranked in the national poll. That's the Kansas Jayhawks. Both teams come into tonight unbeaten in Big 12 play, and this would seem to be one of the only potentially possible conference losses Texas might have at any point (I...
