If you’re a Browns fan, you understand that each preseason brings its share of hope. But over the last decade, as fans, we’ve been looking for something (ANYTHING) to be positive about going into the regular season. This preseason is much, much different. There are several things to be excited about. What are they, specifically? Well, just about everything.
Through two games, the Browns’ first teams have DOMINATED the competition. They left the field with a 17-0 lead over St. Louis in the opener (the Rams’ first TD came with St. Louis’ first-team offense against the Browns’ seco...

The preseason continues tonight for the Cleveland Browns. Can they build on last week’s performance? These are the things I’ll be watching for…
It seems like the Browns haven’t played in a long time doesn’t it? The Lions game was only last Thursday, but so much has happened to the team since they took the field for that one. There has been a plethora of injury reports...
We certainly don’t spend a lot of time talking about fantasy football here at WFNY, but I found this ESPN post (insider) about undervalued QBs to be pretty interesting. Brandon Weeden comes in at number seven on their list behind RG3, Ryan Tannehill and Alex Smith among others. The post goes on to compare Weeden’s value to that of AFC North counterpart Andy Dalton.
According to 19 Action News, Browns wide receiver Greg Little was recently busted for speeding. He was ticketed for going 81 MPH in a 60 MPH zone.
This isn’t the first time Little was caught speeding.
This speeding ticket made us do some more digging. We looked at Little’s driving record and found more.
Back in April records show Little admitted going 127 MPH.
He lost control...

AKRON, OH -- The Binghamton Mets came into Akron Thursday night fresh off of clinching the Eastern Division.
Not that the Akron Aeros cared.
The Aeros (62-68) defeated the B-Mets (81-50) by a score of 7-3 thanks to four Binghamton errors and a four-run first inning.
After a one-two-three inning from Akron starter Toru Murata, the Aeros wasted no time scoring. A leadoff single from...
It is widely known that Indians GM Chris Antonetti is out seeking ways to improve his club now and in the future. The whispers are that the Tribe has made several claims on players who other teams have put out as available since the July 31st non-waiver trade deadline. The waivers are revocable, which means that should the Indians claim someone, the other team has the right to pull...
Indians prospect outfielder Tyler Naquin is providing a slash line of .375/.423/.458 (.881 OPS) with two doubles and three runs batted in through his first six games with Double-A Akron.
The 2012 first-rounder went 0-for-3 in his first contest with the Aeros, but has since recorded a hit in each game, including seven hits over the last three. After batting .277/.345/.424 (.769 OPS...

Wendle has been regressing from his four-digit OPS in mid-July...
A successful road trip gave a boost to the Cleveland Indians' playoff hopes.
The Indians will try to end their recent woes at Progressive Field during a three-game series against the Minnesota Twins that begins Friday night.
Cleveland (69-58) moved within 2 12 games of Oakland in the race for the AL's final wild card berth by going 6-3 on its trek. The Indians completed the...
CLEVELAND -- One inning can sometimes change the outcome of a game. And when a team is playing meaningful games in late August, one inning gone awry can seem big.Which is what happened with the Indians Friday night, as they returned from a three-game sweep of the Angels in Anaheim to lose 5-1 to the Minnesota Twins. The key occurrences of this loss took place when the game was close...
Pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka asked for and was granted his release from the Cleveland Indians earlier this week. It didn’t take long for him to find a new employer.
The Japanese right-hander has agreed to a contract with the New York Mets, according to CBS Sports.com. According to the report, Matsuzaka will go straight to the big leagues for New York. The hurler hadn’t seen any...
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Justin Masterson pitched effectively into the seventh inning, Nick Swisher hit a two-run homer and the Cleveland Indians completed a three-game sweep of the Los Angeles Angels with a 3-1 victory Wednesday.
The Indians, who began the day 5 12 games behind first-place Detroit in the AL Central and 3 12 behind Oakland in the race for the second wild card spot...
Rookie Danny Salazar tantalized once again Tuesday night but he missed the real drama with another early exit.
Salazar struck out seven to give him 29 strikeouts in his first 23 big-league innings but he was long gone by the time the Indians beat the Angels 4-1 in 14 innings as Drew Stubbs hit a two-run homer to break a 1-1 tie. The Indians are an AL-best 9-2 in extra innings this...
