Found January 04, 2010 on New York Football Giants Talk:
After two consecutive weeks of uninspired and woeful football, the Giants ended the 2009 season on a sour note. For a team who had aspirations of getting back to the Super Bowl, the Giants finished a mediocre 8-8. From a PR standpoint, Giants co-owner John Mara has to get rid of Coughlin. If he keeps Coughlin as head coach, during the off season and up until the regular season, the media will focus negatively on Coughlin instead of the new stadium. Therefore, if they hire a new head coach, there will be positive media attention. Clearly, the Giants would favor positive media attention. Especially since the Jets and not the Giants made the playoffs. A new mantra for the 2010 Giants would be a new coach, a new stadium, and a new beginning. What do you think?
