Fox Sports Wisconsin:
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Linebacker Vic So'oto's second stint with the Packers is over. So'oto, who was released from Green Bay's active roster on Dec. 11 but then signed with the Packers' practice squad, has been signed by the Washington Redskins.
That opened up a practice-squad spot in Green Bay, which the team used to sign cornerback Otis Merrill.
Merrill, a rookie out of Illinois State, originally signed with the Packers on May 14, 2012, after not being drafted. Merrill was with Green Bay throughout all of training camp and the preseason before being released on Aug. 31.
