Overnight Super Bowl Rating 47.8 on NBC, Slightly Below 2011

Last night’s overnight rating for Super Bowl XLVI featuring the Giants and Patriots on NBC came in at 47.8, less than one percent off last year’s ratings record of 47.9 for Packers/Steelers on Fox.  The game was the third highest rated Super Bowl ever, behind last year’s game and Super Bowl XXI between the Giants
