UCLA has already clinched a spot in the Pac 12 championship game for a second straight season, and this year they did so without the need for an asterisk. A season after representing the Pac 12 South in the conference championship game because USC was ineligible for postseason play, the Bruins surprised many by winning the outright Pac 12 South Division this season following a home win against rival USC this past weekend. With UCLA heading to their second Pac 12 championship game, it remains unknown who they will face form the Pac 12 North. As it turns out, UCLA will play a role in determining who they face, and where they face them this weekend when they host Stanford. UCLA could face Stanford or Oregon in the Pac 12 championship game. Here is the rundown on all of the Pac 12 scenarios to sort through this weekend. Stanford hosts UCLA Coming off a big road win at Oregon, Stanford controls their fate in the conference championship game. A win on the road at UCLA would send the Cardinal to the Pac 12 championship game and Stanford would host UCLA in next week’s championship game. Oregon hosts UCLA The Oregon Ducks hosted the inaugural Pac 12 championship game last season, defeating UCLA. A rematch is still a possibility. For Oregon to host UCLA, the Bruins must defeat Stanford to open up the conference title game to the winner of Oregon’s game against Oregon State. If UCLA and Oregon both win this weekend, the Ducks would host the Bruins for a second straight season. Oregon has won four straight meetings in The Civil War. UCLA hosts Stanford UCLA can also host Stanford next week in what would turn out to be a home-and-home between the Bruins and Cardinal. UCLA needs to win in order to host the conference championship game next week, but Oregon State must also defeat Oregon to send Stanford to the championship game. In Brief Got all that? If not, here is the brief rundown… If Stanford wins, Stanford hosts UCLA. If UCLA and Oregon win, Oregon hosts UCLA. If UCLA and Oregon State win, UCLA hosts Stanford.
