Following a tough loss on the road against Missouri, the Arizona State Sun Devils look to bounce back as they open PAC-12 play against Utah. Defensive Coordinator Paul Randolph talked with Devils Digest about the keys to stopping the Utah’s offense, as well as the performance of some of his players this far in the season.
One of the areas of concern for the Sun Devils entering the year was their offensive line. With only two returning starters on this group, many believed that the offensive line would struggle to keep up with the fast pace of the Arizona State offense. Nonetheless, three games into the season, Offensive Line Coach Bob Connelly and his players are developing at a faster pace than anyone expected.
TEMPE, Ariz. -- FOX Sports NEXT caught up with Arizona State senior linebacker Brandon Magee after practice on Wednesday to discuss bouncing back from the Sun Devils' loss at Missouri, Magee's personal performance and role as a leader, the team's upcoming opponent, and more.
There is no question that the ASU wide receivers had an especially rough outing in the 24-20 loss to Missouri. One of the members of that group, Kevin Ozier, says that the lessons learned from that contest can certainly help the Sun Devils bounce back as they prepare for the Utah game and the beginning of Pac-12 play.
On a defense that has already showcased several playmakers this year, one of the pleasant surprises of that group has been Junior College transfer Chris Young. Coming into fall camp as a safety, it took Chris Young some time to convert to the “spur” hybrid linebacker position with the Sun Devils. Now that he has settled in at the position the results are speaking for themselves.

Even though there is a lot to improve on both sidea of the ball for Arizona State, ASU's Head Coach Todd Graham knows that it's the third team aspect, special teams, that is key for every game they will play this year.
