Carey Price cares about raising awareness about breast cancer research. We won't fault him on that. But do you know what's more important than raising breast cancer awareness? Winning hockey games, apparently. Price had planned to wear a pink-themed goalie mask and pads throughout the month of October as part of Hockey Fights Cancer campaign, but the Canadiens goalie reconsidered...
Carey Price made 21 saves for his 100th win and Max Pacioretty had two goals and an assist Wednesday night as the host Montreal Canadiens ended a six-game losing streak with a 5-1 win against the Philadelphia Flyers. Earlier in the day, the struggling Canadiens fired assistant coach Perry Pearn, who, among other duties, worked with the team's power-play units.
With the Boston Bruins on the power play in the first period, and the face-off coming in the Montreal Canadiens end, the onus was on Habs center Tomas Plekanec to win the draw so that his team could gain control and clear the puck out of their zone.
Plekanec won the draw cleanly, however when the puck slid back to goaltender Carey Price, he misplayed it so miserably the end result...

The Flyers will look to build on their win over the Toronto Maple Leafs earlier this week as they take on another team from north of the border; the Montreal Canadiens.
Goaltender Carey Price (.878 Save %, 3.13 GAA) and newcomer Eric Cole (1G, 1A, minus 4) have really struggled as the Canadiens are off to an abysmal 1-5-2 start this season. Their only win came against the Winnipeg...

There was an urge to show the Carey Price blunder but because he did win, we ultimately resisted. It was one of the strangest nights all season in the fantasy hockey world. There were own goals, wild games of endless scoring, and then goalie gaffes galore plus more. It was a night some will remember but probably many fantasy hockey GM's will forget. ...

• Oh, now this is clever: Bruins Hockey Now presents, ahem, the "real" reason why Nathan Horton went off on Tim Gleason the other day. "It's the story of Angry Horts, and he needs your...
Carey Price made 21 saves for his 100th win and Max Pacioretty had two goals and an assist and the Montreal Canadiens ended a six-game losing streak with a 5-1 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday night. Pacioretty assisted on Andrei Kostitsyn's goal 10:26 into the second and scored 2:12 later to make it 3-1.
The Montreal Canadiens beat the Boston Bruins 2-1 on Thursday night, with Boston’s only goal coming off a misguided faceoff win by Tomas Plekanec (for those who have not seen it, he won the face-off clean…so clean it went right behind Carey Price). This coming after Wednesday’s 5-1 defeat of the Philadelphia Flyers.
Quick hits from the game? Well, PK Subban and Brad Marchand...
Tomas Plekanec wins the defensive draw, but the play caught Carey Price by surprise.
After the Canadiens played their 8th game of the season there was almost no hope among fans that the team would be able to salvage the season. Sitting in the bottom of the Eastern Conference with one measly win, a great number were talking about tanking in order to get a top draft pick. Two games later it is a very different feeling within both the fan base and media.
