“We played them already, duh. There aren’t as many mysteries in this world as you think. We have all the information we need on their personnel.”  – Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers After Colin Kaepernick ran all over the place in the San Francisco 49ers' convincing playoff victory over the Green Bay Packers, DE Mike Neal had this to confess: “That’s something we didn’t account for; him making as many plays as he did on his feet.” During the game, it was clearly evident that the Packers were not prepared for the read option and grossly underestimated Kaepernick's speed. “I wasn’t expecting to rush for that amount of yards,” Kaepernick said Sunday on Fox, via the San Francisco Chronicle. “We knew we had some running plays in for the quarterback this week. We just didn’t know they were going to work that well.” Colin ended the game with the most yards (181) by a QB in NFL history and longest run (56) by a QB in the postseason. Impressive to say the least, or unimpressive when talking about Green Bay, who was just ill-prepared, plain and simple. But there is a lesson to learned here, and the Atlanta Falcons will make sure they don't look like fools like the Packers. After facing Russel Wilson Sunday, they well aware of how hard it is to stop QBs who can do a little of everything. “He’s a problem,” Falcons S William Moore said of Russell Wilson. “He’s got the ‘it’ factor. He’s going to be one of the best in the game. It’s hard to game plan around him. The dude can beat you in the air, on his feet. One of the best things he can do is extend plays.” So can Kaepernick. var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
