Painter dislocated his knee and team medical staff popped it back into place.Blacksburg, VA — As expected, offensive lineman Vinston Painter will miss the rest of Virginia Tech’s spring practice season after dislocating his left knee during Saturday’s scrimmage. Painter was in considerable pain and remained on the field for several minutes before being helped off. On the trainer’s table, team medical personnel popped his knee back into place and after icing it for about 20 minutes, he was able to get up and walk around on his own.
According to BeamerBall.com, the medical staff doesn’t think there is any further damage, but also said they will re-evaluate Painter’s knee after the swelling goes down.
Michael Via will also miss the rest of spring practice as he is schedule to have surgery on his ACL this Thursday. He is expected to recover...
