Who's ready for another Sal Paolantonio Eagles quarterback trade "bombshell"?

On Tuesday during a local Philadelphia radio show known as 97.5 The Fanatic with host Mike Missanelli, ESPN's Sal Paolantonio dropped a possible update regarding the quarterback trade rumor roller-coaster in Philadelphia.

"Sal Pal" as he is affectionately know as in the sports media circles, said on 97.5 The Fanatic that the Seattle Seahawks have been contacting the Eagles "non-stop" regarding quarterbacks Donovan McNabb and Kevin Kolb. Apparently Seattle was one of the "multiple" teams aggressively contacting the Birds about a trade concerning All-Pro quarterback Donovan McNabb, but as reported, the Eagles have not entertained any actual offers as of yet.

But according to Paolantonio, the offers will come. The Seattle Seahawks new head coach Pete Carroll, wants to win coming out of the starting gates. He does not want to waste a season or two building a winner around a newly drafted quarterback, instead Carroll wants to acquire a quarterback that will help his new NFL team win right away, and Paolantonio believes McNabb will be the quarterback that helps Carroll achieve a quick winner.

And if the Seahawks and Carroll do not acquire McNabb, then Paolantonio strongly believes that Super Five will still be playing for another team by sometime this off-season, regardless.

Mean while, all these teams who seem to be interested in McNabb or Kolb for that matter, it seems that no team wants to acquire the only Eagles quarterback who actually wants to leave philadelphia. According to Paolantonio, the two teams who were actually interested in acquire Mike Vick, Buffalo and St. Louis, apparently have no interest in acquiring him now.

The Eagles front office believes that a trade including Vick will eventually take place later in the year. Look for the birds to use the 2010 pre-season as a platform in which to build value for Mike Vick on the trade market.
