When Danica Patrick announced late last year her plans to race full-time in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in the No. 7 JR Motorsports entry in 2012 while also running a partial Sprint Cup schedule in a No. 10 Stewart-Haas Racing car, she didn’t reveal all the specifics on her Cup efforts. She did reveal on Monday, though, that in addition to racing in the Sprint Cup season-opening Daytona 500 on Feb. 26 and seven other Sprint Cup Series events, she’ll also compete in the Coca-Cola 600, the longest race on the NASCAR schedule, at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 27, the same day as the Indianapolis 500. The addition of the Coca-Cola 600 to Patrick’s 2012 Cup schedule gives her a nine-race Sprint Cup docket for this season.
