Danica Patrick finished 28th in the AAA 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race Sunday at Dover (Del.) International Speedway.
Patrick, who drives the No. 10 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet for Tommy Baldwin Racing via a collaborative agreement with Stewart-Haas Racing, was making her seventh Sprint Cup Series start and her first at the fast, challenging 1-mile concrete oval.
“I was a little bit slow to start,” said Patrick, who started 38th. “The car was pretty tight to get going. That is a pattern, for sure, but it is better off that I start out a little tight and comfortable and we free it up rather than the other way around. We worked our way through it. The last run was decent. We made it better most every stop. That is a good starting place for next year when we get here, and that is the point of these races.”
