Things a Jersey guy noted this week: The press conference on Wednesday was short and to the point, but also included glimpses of humanity and humility–from Patriot Coach Bill Belichick. The next day, Patriot QB Tom Brady and many of…Read more →

Not your average Bill Belichick press conference

I dont think the wide recievers will be a problem. They have Tom Brady throwing them the ball. I would rather a team with a superstar quaterback and alright recievers than a team with an alright quaterback and superstar wide recievers.

I agree. As I’ve said before I think the success of the 2013 team depends on the defense....

Tom Brady, Patriots Defensive Captains Take Lead From Bill Belichick in Addressing Aaron Hernandez Situation

FOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots understand they play a game for a living. That’s probably why they stressed the distraction they have faced this offseason is a real-life situation. That distraction is, of course, the murder investigation regarding Aaron Hernandez. Tom Brady referred to the arrest as a “real-life situation” once, while Vince Wilfork said the phrase six times...

Bill Belichick transcript

Here's a complete transcript from Wednesday's press conference during which New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick broke his silence four weeks after former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was charged with murder. Bill Belichick offers little on Hernandez in press conference

There were many folks around the NFL and football circles in general that wondered what Bill Belichick would say about Aaron Hernandez in today’s press conference. Some speculated that the timing of the event suggested that Belichick would give us more than he usually does at such events. Those people, as it turned out, weren’t entirely wrong, but Bill Belichick certainly didn’t...

Tom Brady hopes receiving corps performs

The white numberless unrecognizable jerseys might as well have been a metaphor. Tom Brady delivered passes to a relatively anonymous group of receivers throughout organized team activities and minicamp and Danny Amendola was the sole target who gained sustainable recognition amid the obscurity of seven dozen numberless jerseys. Today when the Patriots take the practice field for...

As of right now, Amendola is New England’s No. 1 wide receiver and he needs to get on the same page with Tom Brady ASAP.  Tebow can catch — Boston.com Well there’s no surprise here. Everyone knows that quarterbacks have the best set of hands of the team....

Patriots Can Move Past Aaron Hernandez Situation With Limited Distractions Due to Timing of Arrest, Investigation

As the Aaron Hernandez situation was reaching its most surreal point, many feared the New England Patriots would not be able to move past the distractions the legal proceedings would cause. We don’t know how the 2013 Patriots season will conclude yet, but if Bill Belichick‘s press conference is any indication, the team is more than ready to move past the ordeal. Belichick’s...
