(US Presswire)   -NEW YORK CITY-- The Patriots have had an eventful draft. After trading away their first-round pick, (#28 overall) to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for four more, New England, who before the draft did not have many picks, suddenly had a slew. This helped out the Patriots immensely and the fruits of their labor were on display today as they took wide receiver Josh Boyce out of TCU with the 102nd pick, their fifth overall, in the fifth round. According to a report from Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com, the 5-11 Boyce took a pre-draft visit to Gillette Stadium and ran a 4.38 time in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in February. Boyce had a very respectable season with TCU last year. The junior from Copperas Grove , Texas caught 66 passes for 891 yards and seven touchdowns. His longest reception of the year was a 94-yard pass in a wild game for the Horned Frogs as they defeated West Virginia 39-38. His best game of the season was that West Virginia game as he caught ...
