Paul Tracy's hunt for a ride in the 2012 IZOD IndyCar Series championship may be coming to a close.RACER Magazine is reporting that the former Champ Car World Series champion is "on the verge" of signing with Michael Shank Racing, which has expanded its racing operations this season to include an IndyCar program. The report relays more of Tracy's comments from a SPEED Channel interview during the ongoing Rolex 24 at Daytona, one of which states that Tracy's plan is for, in his words, "a final season of IndyCar racing."Last year, Tracy competed in the Indianapolis 500 for Dreyer and Reinbold Racing and five more IZOD IndyCar Series events for Dragon Racing.
