Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini will never be a man of many words, but after Wisconsin got done ripping apart the Cornhuskers on Saturday night Pelini managed a moment of eloquency not seen or heard often in his time at the helm of the program. He simply manned up and took responsibility for what happened, even issuing a direct apology.  I apologize to everybody associated with Nebraska football with how we coached, how we played, and it's not acceptable," said Pelini in his postgame press conference. The questions came from the poor ladies and gentlemen tasked with asking the hard questions following this type of loss, but Pelini didn't offer up excuses. Instead he offered up real talk. "Obviously we didn't play well enough, Pelini stated. "We came unglued. I wish I had the answer, but I don't." At least he didn't sit up there and offer platitudes about how he thought his team played well late in the game or offer up anything but true feelings. The shell-shocked answers continued to come from him in a fair manner though. "I mean, it was like a leaking boat," he said. "It was one thing after another. One problem after another. You get one fixed and you talk about it. There were some things that we corrected and it happened again. Like I said, I don't know if I've ever --- I've never been a part of a game like that as a coach."   At the end of the day the Huskers 10-2 regular season record and No. 12 ranking didn't matter to the other team in red and white and according to Pelini this loss feels like the season has become a failure.  "We failed," said Pelini. "We failed to win a championship. That was the goal coming in and didn't get it done. I apologize for it. I apologize to the football team. I apologize to the coaches, the fans, like I said, everybody associated with it. Because at the end of the day, it falls on me. I'm the one responsible for it. We didn't get it done."
