We missed posting this when it came out, but it's still a great video. DJ Steve Porter welcomes Sidney Crosby back to the NHL. This aired on Hockey Night in Canada last week (we think...) Cy makes an appearance.
Pittsburgh Penguins coach Dan Bylsma was 10 seconds into his comments to the media today at the RBC Center when he said Brent Johnson would be the starting goaltender tonight.
He said it quickly, matter of factly, without any other comment on it.
An hour or so before, new Canes coach Kirk Muller was asked about his thoughts on handling the starter in goal and how many games he might...
Tyler Seguin. Sidney Crosby. Two young stars who both seem to have impossibly high ceilings and ooze potential. Crosby has capitalized on much of his and is already firmly established as the league's premier player despite being only 24 years old. He missed a chunk of time battling post-concussion symptoms, but in his return to the ice, he's looked just as good as he ever...
It's possible that the situation could have been more dire for the Penguins. It's just hard to imagine how. They were trying to protect a 3-2 lead over Carolina with a little more than three minutes left when their best defensive center, Jordan Staal, left the game after being struck in the face with a puck. That was bad.

Sidney Crosby's gifts are many, but the most notable might be a backhand shot that is something more than complementary. It is lethal.
The Penguins survived a two-man disadvantage for the final 124 minutes of regulation to defeat Carolina, 3-2, at the RBC Center tonight.
On Sidney Crosby's Return To The NHL
Seems like almost every time the Penguins are preparing to play a game these days, a coach or player -- or both -- suggests that facing them will provide a good "measuring stick" for his club. Makes sense. The Penguins have hovered near the top of the league standings in recent years, won a Stanley Cup in 2009 and employ some of the game's most gifted individuals.
Barely a month ago, the Boston Bruins were at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, but a torrid run has brought them within three points of Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Boston will try to extend its 14-game point streak and move closer to the East-leading Penguins when it visits Pittsburgh on Monday night.
The Bruins (16-7-1) have been on an amazing run over the...
WASHINGTON, DC — In Dale Hunter's first game as Washington Capitals coach, they had 19 shots and one goal in a loss to the St. Louis Blues. Game No. 2? Seventeen shots against the Pittsburgh Penguins, including a paltry two shots in the third period, in a 2-1 loss.
In the final moments of the third period, the Capitals couldn't even corral the puck, let alone mount an...
