The entire story according to court documents is there was a fender bender and the woman got out to talk about it and a woman from Perkins' vehicle jumped out as if she was "ready to fight." Miketta Cotton said she calmed the woman down but then Alpough got out of the car and pushed her stating "That's my cousin!" When Ja'Keenan Cotton saw his sister being pushed he got out of the car to check on her. He told police Perkins a passenger in the other car punched him in the head causing him to fall to the ground. Cotton said Perkins then punched her in the face with a closed fist causing her to fall down. All three victims say a group of people then kicked them repeatedly while they were lying on the ground. Ja'Keenan Cotton recognized Perkins and Alpough according to court documents. At least one witness backed up their story.
