Marshawn Lynch was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the first round (12th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. In his rookie year, Lynch became the Bills' first 1,000-yard rookie rusher since 1984. The moody Lynch was in a crowded backfield teaming with Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller, so the Bills decided to get some value and traded Lynch to the Seahawks for a 4th round pick in 2011 and a 5th round pick in 2012, and it looks more like a heist than a transaction at this point for Seattle. Lynch finished the 2011 season rushing for 1,204 yards and twelve touchdowns, both career bests and posting his first 1,000 yard season since 2008. Lynch is 2nd in rushing in the NFL in 2012 with a career high 1,266 yards rushing through 13 games. This Sunday Seattle travels to Toronto to play Lynch’s former team and ‘Beast Mode’ should be looking to show that the Bills made a huge mistake by trading him. However, Pete Carroll is thrilled that the gamble they took paid off big time. "When you build your philosophy about running the football and with an attitude and toughness and all of that, he's a key addition," Carroll said according to Tim Booth of the mercurynews.com. "Fortunately, with the quarterback situation coming around, that's in good shape and that's the most crucial spot, but I don't know if anything is more symbolic than what we've done with Marshawn and him playing the way he plays and the guy that he is." "This is what we had hoped," Carroll said. "We hoped that he would be a big-timer and we could make him fit in and feel comfortable and like his surroundings and really contribute in a big way. He has done everything. He's done everything we have asked of him."     var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
