Chase told you on Tuesday that LeBron James was Twitter-sharing his fantasies about playing in the NFL. Playing along is head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, Pete Carroll.
Here's the back and forth they've had on Twitter, which you can see here and here.
@PeteCarroll: hey @KingJames are you aware of what the League's rookie minimum is?
@KingJames: yeah more than what I'm making now Coach
@PeteCarroll: I kinda think of you as a touchdown maker but is it true you think of yourself as a pass rusher?
@KingJames: TD maker for sure!
@PeteCarroll: @KingJames I like it! maybe you should head over to #TheU & I'll set up a little workout for you to catch a few balls... just ask for BC
And then, Pete sent LeBron the above picture of the Seahawks "LeBron" jersey.
@KingJames: Nice!! Looks great
The only problem with signing LeBron James is that Chris Bosh is probably going to show up right behind him and say, "Hey, can I play too, guys?"

Miami Heat superstar LeBron James and Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll have been tossing playful messages back and forth on Twitter. LeBron digs football and wouldn’t mind being an NFL star in another life.
But as the NBA lockout continues, perhaps that life could be this one?
No. Of course not. But it’s fun to think about.
As the summer has progressed into the fall, we have seen a number of star-studded basketball exhibitions take place across the country, with teams from the Drew League, Goodman League, the Melo Center, the Rucker and others facing off.
This time around, Oklahoma City Thunder leader, and rising NBA star, Kevin Durant will host his own exhibition contest in Oklahoma City, with...
This week, Neil and I discuss the Detroit Lions vs. San Francisco 49ers. Additionally, we have a heated debate about Ryan Mathews' MVP candidacy (and advanced statistics), while also discussing Tim Tebow and LeBron James. So sit back and do whatever the hell you do while listening to this amazing weekly NFL podcast.
Oh, that LeBron James. First, he playfully nudges ESPN's John Clayton about finding him an NFL gig, and now he's got Seahawks coach Pete Carroll "jokingly" courting him. From the Sporting News:
Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll on Tuesday tweeted James: “are you aware of what the league’s rookie minimum is?”
And like that a recruiting pitch was on....

The Running Rebels or Running Bears or whatever they are opt for Harrow. Take a look inside the team store.
They’ll always be the Rebels in my heart.
Handsome products. Would Nike have looked better? Sure. But these products still look sharp. More here, sadly nothing in the Ole Miss grey. Love those football pants. We tried to get the Rebels/Bears...
(When the NBA resumes play, the league will find itself dealing with a new collective-bargaining agreement, one that could impact how the Heat do business going forward. This is the fourth in a series of evaluations of such aspects.)
The issue: The just-expired CBA had three primary exceptions that allowed teams to exceed the salary cap when it came to veteran talent: the mid-level...
Bye weeks are great for football teams, especially banged up and really young teams. The Seahawks are both of those things, so it’s safe to say that this week is great for the Seahawks. But bye weeks are really bad for sports writers, and consequently they’re really bad for fans. With no football to cover, writers get desperate and type up stories that quite frankly do not deserve...
You know Lebron, he likes attention, BUT (there’s always a but) this is a very intriguing possibility. The fact of the matter is; the season is already 5 weeks in and he doesn’t have enough time to really learn the game. However, (there’s always a however) the publicity, marketing, etc. would go through the roof for a team that signed Lebron for a couple months assuming...
