EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Adrian Peterson sat out Friday's practice with continued soreness in his left ankle, but Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said he expects his star running back to play in Sunday's game at Seattle.Peterson, who leads the league in rushing with 775 yards, rested for precautionary reasons and spent Friday rehabbing and treating the ankle, which he hurt four weeks ago against the Tennessee Titans. Peterson, who is listed as probable, hasn't missed any game time during the past month but has said the injury has been nagging him."He was a little sore on Wednesday, did alright yesterday," Frazier said. "And we were talking this morning, why not get some rest and get some treatment, and he should be fresher come Sunday. He knows everything we've got in the game plan. He's pretty sharp on the things we were doing on Wednesday, Thursday and even Monday. So, he should be fine."Peterson has rushed for 276 yards the past two games against Arizona and Tampa Bay and had his longest run of the season last week on a 64-yard touchdown. He is averaging 5.1 yards per carry this season, his best since averaging 5.6 in his 2007 rookie season. The Vikings have had a longer break after playing last Thursday, which Peterson said helped his recovery."It feels good," he said Thursday. "Still nagging a little bit, but it's nothing that's going to stop me from playing or anything. I'm just doing the necessary things to get it where I want it, get it back full and get the strength back. But it's better than it was, yeah."Frazier said tight end John Carlson still hasn't passed his concussion testing and will be out at least for Sunday's game. After missing Thursday's practice to tend to a family matter, league-leading receiver Percy Harvin was back at practice Friday and is expected to play Sunday.Follow Brian Hall on Twitter.
