Former Louisville point guard Peyton Siva had easily his best performance of the summer league on Tuesday afternoon. PS3 had solid in his first two outings with the Detroit Pistons in the Orlando Summer League, but his performance on Tuesday was on another level.
In his first two games, Siva scored a combined ten points, but all of those came from the free throw line. On Tuesday he finished with 12-points and a game high seven assists. No other player for either team finished with more than seven assists. After three days and three days of summer league play, only three players from the ten teams have more total assists than Siva. He’s also only averaging one turnover per game.
Siva also showed that although three point shooting isn’t his strength, he’s capable of knocking down open shots from time-to-time. He was 2-of-4 from three point range on Tuesday and is shooting 40% throughout three games.
