PLAYERS: Andy Reid
TEAMS: Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia_eagles_v_20f6
The Philadelphia Eagles are in the middle of their worst season to date since 1999. With a combination of poor play and poor coaching, the Eagles find themselves at 3-7, by far the worst in the NFC East, and just about the league as well. While head coach Andy Reid will most likely go down, there is no doubt much of the 2012 Philadelphia Eagles team will go down with him. With the offense, defense and even the special teams playing notoriously bad, there is more than enough blame to go around. With only a few players safe, who might be looking for a job in 2013?

Communication on Eagles defense is almost non existent

When Juan Castillo was fired as the defensive coordinator, the communication was supposed improve, but it has gotten worse. New defensive coordinator Todd Bowles job was to simplify the message, and get defensive players talking to each other. It’s not always sunny in Philadelphia, and it’s definitely not shining on the Eagles these days. The first year secondary coach was...

Nnamdi Asomugha believes things will turn around for himself and the Philadelphia Eagles

Fairly or unfairly, if there is one player who represents the underperformance of the 2011 and 2012 Philadelphia Eagles, it is Nnamdi Asomugha. When the Birds landed the three-time Pro Bowl corner in the free agent spending spree that followed the NFL lockout in the summer of 2011, it seemed that the sky was the limit for the team. In hindsight, it’s hard to fault Vince Young...

Eagles Will Give Nick Foles Another Start On Monday

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that his sources have informed him that the Eagles have made the decision to go with rookie Nick Foles as their starting quarterback against the Panthers on Monday. Michael Vick is reportedly still only in the Phase 1 of the league’s concussion protocol, so there’s at least some question as to whether or not he’ll be available...

Eagles Odds and Ends: McCoy, Brown, Foles, MNF

The look into the future will most likely continue this week on MNF as LeSean McCoy is still in stage 1 of his recovery from a concussion. Filling in will be Bryce Brown the rookie who in limited action has shown he is worthy of the start. Brown who has gained over 4 yards a carry should get the majority if not all of McCoy’s workload will get the chance to showcase his talent...

Panthers at Eagles preview

Not that the woes of Andy Reid and the Philadelphia Eagles have been flying under the radar, but now things could turn uglier as they come under the national spotlight.

NFL coaches on the hot seat, Vol. I, 2012 edition

After yesterday's Thanksgiving day debacles, it's safe to assume some coaches are on the proverbial hot seat. Congratulations Jason Garrett of the Dallas Cowboys, you fit that description.I wrote a few weeks ago that the Cowboys could still make the playoffs. They needed to win every "winnable" game and hope the NY Giants faltered down the stretch. The Cowboys now...

Eagles make Panthers look like favorites

With a rookie quarterback and a running back making his first start since high school, the Philadelphia Eagles will try for their first win in two months. No wonder even the Carolina Panthers (2-8) are favored on the road. The struggling Eagles (3-7) have lost six straight games entering Monday night's matchup against Cam Newton and the Panthers. They won't have Michael...
