Well it's getting near that time of year again for trade rumors, except for Pirate fans, it's not as exciting as past years. John Grabow (pictured above), Freddy Sanchez, Jack Wilson and Ian Snell are the names. Will the Bucs get value back in the game? Prospects don't look good. I'm not going into any speculation here when it comes to teams and salaries. This article is more along the line of common sense. Right now the Pirates are planning on trading both Wilson and Sanchez. Of course, they didn't come out and say that, they phrase it as: "we are listening to offers". Believe me, that cliche means one and the same. The Pirates have one big problem. They want to trade their 2nd Baseman and Shortstop, and what is there biggest need in return? How about a 2nd Baseman and a Shortstop? That is the dilemma. With no prospects ready to take over for either, it's hard to believe this team can trade these guys. Yes, they can always pick up mediocre utility ...
