Today is the Senior Bowl, and the Cowboys will have plenty of talent to look at, one last time in action before the NFL Combine. The Cowboys have had some luck drafting players they scouted at the Senior Bowl. In 2011, DeMarco Murray and Dwayne Harris were players we plucked from that year. And perhaps the best Senior Bowl Alumnist is DeMarcus Ware.
Can the Cowboys pluck out another productive player from the 2013 Senior Bowl roster? Time will tell, but there are a few players that should be impact players and some that could come in and fill some holes the Cowboys have right now. These are are few players I liked during the week, let’s see how they look in the game.
DE Datone Jones – UCLA
DE Alex Okafer – Texas
DE Margus Hunt – SMU
CB Desmond Trufant – Washington
CB/S TJ McDonald
CB Jonathan Cyprien – FIU
RB Stefan Taylor – Stanford
WR Quiton Patton – Louisiana Tech
C Brian Schwenke – California
LB Chase Thomas – Stanford
I still think the Cowboys cannot go into 2013 with the sa...

Odds of the Dallas Cowboys signing that key 2013 NFL Free agent that will instantly help them make it over the hump are very slim. If fact, it might not even be possible. The Cowboys are $26 million over the salary cap and have to restructure and release several players in order to just break even. As of December, the Cowboys had $132 million tied up in cap space on 44 players and...
Will we see Jon Gruden on the sidelines for the Dallas Cowboys in 2014?
Is Jon Gruden set to be the next Dallas Cowboys head coach should Jason Garrett suffer through another year of mediocrity and disappointment?
Well, consider the facts and then you tell me.
After the bitter season-ending loss to the Redskins, which mired Jerry’s kids in a second consecutive 8–8 season, Jones...
Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Bill Callahan is being elevated to the position of offensive playcaller for the 2013 season. And whether you view that as castrating strip of responsibilities of head coach Jason Garrett or the offering of some help for an overloaded young coach that frees Garrett to be a "walk-around'' head coach really depends on whether you are...
According to Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com, the Cowboys Anthony Spencer’s agent Jordan Woy have held preliminary contract talks. Both sides are hopeful something can get done.
If the Cowoys place the franchise tag on Spencer, they’ll be on the hook to pay him $10.6 million in 2013.
Even though Spencer had a great season in 2012, there’s no telling how well he’ll perform...
It seems as if Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys are trying to put the band back together. Monte Kiffin, Rod Marinelli, Bill Callahan and now possibly, the Cowboys are reportedly negotiating a buyout of the contract for special teams coach Rich Bisaccia. What do these coaches all have in common? Jon Gruden. Coincidence? Perhaps.
Bisaccia served as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers special...
I hope we can stop referring to the Dallas Cowboys as “America’s Team.” Because any team that has disgusting white trash like this sitting in their front row, the most expensive seats in the NFL…well it doesn’t reflect very well on the team, the league or our country.
And seriously, whatever happened to simply calling out people like this for being classless and disgusting...
The Dallas Cowboys have hired Rich Bisaccia as special teams coach three weeks after he joined the Auburn staff in a similar capacity.
New Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said Friday that Bisaccia had ''an offer that he felt he could not turn down'' after the Tigers hired him to coach running backs and special teams on Jan. 3. The Cowboys reported their hiring on the team...
Former Tennessee coach Derek Dooley is headed to the Dallas Cowboys as wide receivers coach.
The Cowboys reported the move on their website Saturday night. Dooley will replace Jimmy Robinson, who could stay with Dallas in another capacity.
Dooley was fired at Tennessee in November after posting the longest run of consecutive losing seasons at the school in over a century. He was...
Former Tennessee head football coach Derek Dooley reportedly has a new employer. Surprisingly, it's another coaching job as opposed to a job as an analyst on Television. The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly hiring His Fairness as the team's new wide receivers coach. This from ESPN NFL "Insider" Adam Schefter. If true (and if you can't trust Adam Schefter, than...
The Dallas Cowboys have had preliminary contract talks with impending free agent linebacker Anthony Spencer, ESPN Dallas reported Sunday. Spencer's agent, Jordan Woy, said Spencer is ready to convert to defensive end to fit Dallas' new 4-3 defensive alignment, favored by new coordinator Monte Kiffin. If the two sides cannot reach a deal, the Cowboys may place a $10.6...
Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas reports that the Cowboys and LB Anthony Spencer have had “preliminary talks” regarding a contract extension.
Spencer, who will be participating in Sunday’s Pro Bowl for the first time in his career, is set to become an unrestricted free agent in March after producing 106 tackles and reaching double-digits in sacks for the first time in his career...
Less than two months after teammate Jerry Brown killed in what police have said was a drunken wreck caused by teammate Josh Brent, Jay Ratliff was busted for drunken driving.
It doesnt sit well with the Dallas Cowboys and Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas reports that owner Jerry Jones returned from the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., to the teams facility to meet with Ratliff.
With all the coaching changes that the Dallas Cowboys have made, a team source told ESPN’s Ed Werder that it’s ”Ridiculous” to think Jon Gruden is will replace Jason Garrett at some point.
Response from reliable team source when I asked if TB glory-days asst. coaches being hired in Dallas meant Gruden on way: “Ridiculous.”

The 2013 Senior Bowl is in the bag, and it left a lot to be desired when it came to the quarterbacks. This year’s QB class is one of the weakest in recent years, and the play from the QBs didn’t help their cause. So, you can scratch QB off the list of a successor to Romo, this class doesn’t have that player for us.
At this point, the Cowboys draft focus will be in the trenches...
Several media outlets have hinted at the coincidence that many of the new faces on the Dallas Cowboys staff are former coaches from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when Jon Gruden was coach.
It’s easy with the yearly speculation about when and where Gruden will coach at next to get caught up in the hype of the Gruden gang getting back together in Dallas if Jason Garrett can’t finally...
