Although it is now Tuesday, all the buzz in college football remains on last Saturday and remains on the Texas A&M Aggies’ stunning upset over the No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. Starting with Alex, we discussed the following: - What was the reaction like Saturday in Tuscaloosa after the loss? How did the players react, and as importantly, how did the fans react too? - After playing LSU two weeks ago, was Alabama either physically or mentally fatigued coming into this game? Also, is there any possibility that they were simply looking past the Aggies? - Finally what do the Crimson Tide have to do to recover from here? What’s next and why after what happened last January, the Crimson Tide are still optimistic they can find themselves in the National Championship Game. Moving onto Barrett, we discussed the following subjects: - Was Barrett as surprised at the shocking upset in Tuscaloosa as most? Also, within SEC circles how has the perception of A&M changed since the beginning of the season? - Why Alabama hasn’t been eliminated from the National Championship picture by a long-shot. Also, why the possibility still remains of an SEC vs. SEC National Championship Game, depending on how the chips fall. - And finally, what has the reaction in SEC country to the idea that the conference might be shut out of the BCS title chase? Are fans understanding that Alabama controlled their own destiny? Or upset that a team with an inferior schedule might make the big game?
