To anyone at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) who sees the photo below, please book a plane ticket to Alabama right away. As posted on Reddit, one die-hard Crimson Tide fan decided to turn their pet poodle into a walking testament to their love of Alabama by a) Dying it primarily red; and b) Shaving its hair to form a white script "A" on its back. [ PHOTOS: College football's hottest cheerleaders gallery ] Some people might defend this by pointing out that the poodle's owner can do whatever he or she wants to their dog and that said dog appears happy in the photo below. Neither of which are good enough reasons to make us think that making your dog look this ridiculous is anything other than animal cruelty. Alabama Bar turns Johnny Manziel into Piñata

It seems that the Alabama Crimson Tide fans are taking their rematch with the Texas A&M Aggies very seriously.  Otey’s Tavern, a bar in Mountain Brook’s Crestline Village, created a 30-inch high Johnny Manziel Piñata for customers to take a shot at during their Wednesday night trivia. From AL.com: “We don’t know what we are going to do with it besides hang it up...

Alabama Fan Pranks Texas A&M By Hanging Script 'A' on University Sign

This season's Game of the Century is a day closer. As the weekend draws near there are likely going to be a number of Alabama fans showing up in College Station. With a game of this magnitude there is no way the Crimson Tide will not have a presence at Kyle Field. One fan tried to make his/her presence felt a little early by trolling Texas A&M and placing a Alabama script...

Saban walks out after probe questions

On Wednesday, Yahoo Sports published a story alleging that former Alabama offensive lineman DJ Fluker, along with four other former and current SEC players, received impermissible benefits prior to completing their college careers. That's important because it could call into question Alabama's 2011 and 2012 national titles, of which Fluker was a part. The story also happened...

Alabama-Texas A&M tickets listed for historic prices on secondary market

This weekend's affair between Alabama and Texas A&M in College Station may be the most anticipated game in college football history. According to Forbes.com, tickets to see the top-ranked Crimson Tide battle the sixth-ranked Aggies are listed at an average of $763 on the secondary market. Amazingly, that figure is nearly $50 more than the secondary market for tickets to...

Grow up, Nick ... lose the snarl

Nick Saban's face turned red. His voice grew loud, into a bullying yell: "I made a statement,'' he said. "DON'T ASK ME ABOUT THAT AGAIN.'' Saban took a non-story that nobody on earth was ever going to care about, especially during Texas A&M week -- something about a Yahoo! Sports report on a former player getting impermissible benefits and...

Barkley says Manziel makes him root for Alabama

Without any professional basketball since June, Charles Barkley hasn't had a chance to speak his mind on television on a regular basis. Luckily, the former basketball star turned NBA television analysts did manage to make his opinions known about where he ranks Johnny Manziel, Miley Cyrus and Alabama on his list of things he can't stand. During Barkley's appearance on...

Oh, just DJ Fluker saying he took money while playing for the Alabama Crimson Tide on Twitter

DJ Fluker was a dominant player for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Apparently, according to this screenshot from 4/23/13, he said he took money while in college. This tweet could be total BS. It may not be real. It may  be a joke. Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports posted an article saying that multiple players from SEC schools took money. This tweet was probably not a good idea after...

Here's Nick Saban walking out of press conference after multiple questions over D.J. Fluker.

Alabama head football coach Nick Saban walked out of a Wednesday press conference after the multiple questions from the media regarding allegations made in an investigation by Yahoo! Sports that former Alabama offensive tackle D.J. Fluker had taken improper benefits while in school. He eventually walked out. Here's video of the press conference, via The Crimson White. ...

Nick Saban storms out of press conference on Wednesday

Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban stormed out of his press conference on Wednesday when he fielded three questions in a row about the story/allegations against DJ Fluker and four other SEC players.  The story says that the five players received improper benefits and Saban figured that he wouldn’t have to answer any questions about it after he gave a blanket statement...

C.J. Mosley and Christion Jones respond to report of D.J. Fluker taking improper benifits.

Two Alabama players, linebacker C.J. Mosley and wide receiver Christion Jones, defended the Crimson Tide football program Wednesday after a Yahoo! Sports report accused former teammate D.J. Fluker of receiving improper benefits. Both denied having any knowledge of the allegations. Mosley defended the program, pointing out that Alabama talks to players and their families about...

A.J. McCarron hasn't spoken to Johnny Manziel since SEC Media Days.

A.J. McCarron, Johnny Manziel, and girls not named either Katherine Webb or Sarah Savage. Alabama starting quarterback A.J. McCarron is supposed to be friends with Texas A&M starting quarterback Johnny Manziel. At least they were before all that stuff happened at the Manning Passing Academy, with JFF "dehydrating" and McCarron allegedly not waking him up and all...

Many Connections As Tide Meets Ags

It seems an unlikely place to look for connections, this Alabama vs. Texas A&M match-up. After all, the teams have played against one another in football only five times. Bama leads the series, 3-2, but the biggest wins for the Crimson Tide may have come in coaching tie-ins. And the winner in that arena has clearly been Alabama.

Nick Saban Walks Out

Nick Saban gives the cold shoulder to the press after they focused on grilling him about Yahoo’s allegations that former offensive linemen stud DJ Fluker was funneling cash into the Alabama program.  Sure Nick Saban is one smug bastard, but these idiots couldn’t ask one question about the biggest game of the season thus far.  We are just days away from a Johnny Football v Crimson...

Saban, Sumlin Talk About Game

The next time a coach accuses the media of hype, consider this sentence from Alabama Coach Nick Saban during Wednesday’s Southeastern Conference teleconference: “Texas A&M has an outstanding team, one of the best offensive teams probably in college football, maybe in the history of college football in term’s of their quarterback’s ability to make plays and the great job...

Nick Saban calls Texas A&M offense potentially best in college football history

When asked about Texas A&M, Alabama coach Nick Saban stated that the Aggies' offense could be one of the best in college football history.
