AP/Jack Dempsey No wireless at the Pepsi Center tonight, which created havoc with us media wretches. I had to go across the street to Brooklyn’s to write my story, but got caught up in a whirlwind of wireless trouble for a while there too. Anyway, the game itself was a fun one to watch. Good back and forth, offensive hockey. The Blackhawks don’t get into that boring dump-and-change style if they get up by a goal, which they did early in the second period. They keep trying to score, but in the process they also allow the opposition to get some chances too. This time, the Avs cashed in on a few. Finally. A few observations: - Gabriel Landeskog is so smart for his age. Just a great game he played today, and that slap shot for the game-winning goal: the centrifugal force on that thing was crazy. - Avs simply outskated the Hawks. They looked younger (well, they are younger) and quicker. - A ton of Chicago fans on hand tonight. Stubhub.com is a great thing for the fans of t...

Is Corey Crawford done in Chicago?

Interesting question to say the least, but with a recent “tweet” from one of the Blackhawks long time beat writers, Tim Sassone saying TSN’s Darren Dreger mentioned that Stan Bowman is looking for a goaltender, well, this might be the case. One would find it odd that Stan Bowman would come out publicly stating that [...]

Blackhawks Might Actually Be Looking For A Goaltender After All

The recent struggles of the Chicago Blackhawks are well-documented. They’re bad. The team has had issues on both ends of the ice, with the more glaring issue obviously being on the blue line. Those issues on defense came to the forefront when they gave up odd man rush after odd man rush against the Colorado Avalanche in their 5-2 loss on Tuesday. Yet, as much talk as there...

Are the Blackhawks better than last year?

The Chicago Blackhawks are in somewhat of a down fall currently and it raises the question of how good are these Hawks especially compared to last season. Brunette a game-time call for Blackhawks

DENVER -- With typical hockey-injury vagueness, Andrew Brunette categorized his recent affliction as part of the "bumps and bruises" all players endure during a season.

Avs Finally Win, Top Blackhawks

Going into the Tuesday night contest in Denver, Colorado, the Avalanche and the Blackhawks were both on five game losing streaks. After a solid overall performance by the Burgundy and Blue, the Avs topped the now free falling Hawks 5-2. It was the first time the team scored five or more goals since November 30th with a 6-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils. The worst part about...
