The Ravens will face the team that they blasted in the playoffs in the Wild Card round in January Friday night. That team, the Kansas City Chiefs, brings with them three former Ravens.
Kelly Gregg, Le'Ron McClain and Jared Gaither will all return to Baltimore after leaving the Ravens for different reasons this offseason.
Gregg, a defensive tackle, was cut loose as a salary cap casualty. He has been given a chance to play closer to home and be a veteran presence on a very young defensive team.
McClain, a Pro Bowl fullback in his time in Baltimore, wanted more carries, but wasn't going to get them with the Ravens.
Gaither, an offensive tackle, sat out the 2010 season with a back injury.
The Ravens will face their old mates in their second preseason game. I would expect their starters to play in to the second quarter.
