So the Pro Bowl's this Sunday, for the first time to be held before the Super Bowl; and we're hearing more than ever that the event needs to be "fixed."* I don't disagree. This piece by Greg Cote of the Miami Herald expresses a popular sentiment in its title: "Pro Bowl is an embarrassing waste of time." To fix the Pro Bowl, Cote suggests:Mak[ing] it after the Super Bowl again so you aren't automatically eliminating the best players from the best teams; and "Requir[ing] players selected to actually play [by rescinding Pro Bowl bonuses and eligibility for next year's Pro Bowl balloting].
