Rangers Review:
You could look at “the house” being Madison Square Garden. The Rangers home. A place where last year they couldn’t win a game to save their lives. Last year the Rangers were one of the best road teams in the league, but their ineptitude at home cost them a bad first round seed against the Caps who just are not a good matchup for us. That inability to win at home hurt the team in the playoffs as well, when the team couldn’t win games they had late leads in, and just plain couldn’t do what it took to get past the high octane Caps. This year the Rangers are just as good at home as they are on the road. That difference has rocketed the Rangers up the standings to tops in the East, a full 2 points ahead of Bawstun with all games in hand by the Brooins played. They are 2 points behind the scorching hot Red Wings, with 2 games in hand on Detroit.
The house, though, is also the area in front of the goal, the zone where all the dirty goals tend to be scor...

In a Good Place
This is exactly what the New York Rangers are in heading into the NHL All-Star Break this weekend.
The team currently sits in the top spot in the Atlantic Division while also being in first in the Eastern Conference with 66 points. While there is still a lot of hockey left to be played, there really is not much Rangers’ fans can complain about these days.
With that said,...
One more Before the Break
The New York Rangers are back in action tonight to take on the Winnipeg Jets at Madison Square Garden before taking a few days off for the NHL All-Star break.
The Blueshirts are coming off a big 3-2 overtime victory over the Boston Bruins thanks to a goal from Marian Gaborik. It was the Rangers’ 30th win of the season and as it stands right now, the team is tied for first...
Callahan Disses @TheBroadwayHat
Last night, Ryan Callahan was awarded the Broadway Hat for his amazing efforts in the Rangers 3-0 victory over the Jets. But for some odd reason he chose not to wear it and instead stuck it in his locker.I know the hat has seen better days, but I've got to say it's a bit disappointing for the captain to dismiss something that's been used as a chemistry building tool for...
The Prospect Quagmire
As the trade deadline approaches, no time is more fun to play armchair GM. Its easy to swap underperforming players and picks like trading cards and instantly transform the team into a playoff power house. This enjoyable little exercise usually leads to us giving a deeper examination to the value of prospects and roster players we could see being moved for a deadline upgrade...

Henrik Lundqvist stopped 22 shots in a bit of a surprise start, and Ryan Callahan, John Mitchell and Brad Richards provided the offense in the New York Rangers' 3-0 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night.
Post-game interviews
A few quick notes and quotes from tonight that weren’t in the notes sent out by teh team:
NOTES —
• Brian Boyle played just 11:49 tonight after twisting his right foot on a collision in the corner during the second period. It cost him to miss a good chunk of the period, but he returned and even killed penalties later in the game. Boyle had less ice time only four...
Rangers-Jets review
Someone asked Henrik Lundqvist last night if he knew the Jets hadn’t won the second part of a back-to-back all season. He laughed and said he didn’t, then insisted it didn’t matter. Some team will always be the first, he said.
Despite sitting atop the Eastern Conference at the break, Lundqvist and the Rangers refuse to leave a stone unturned. The idea of Winnipeg...
