From the East Texas Pump Jacks
It’s only 52 degrees outside, but fans across East Texas will warm up when they read these words: the East Texas Pump Jacks will open the 2012 season in 113 days.
The Pump Jacks announced today the team will return to historic Driller Park for its fifth anniversary season this summer. After a record-breaking campaign in 2011, the organization has high hopes for the anniversary season.
^^^“We’re so excited about this summer,” said Pump Jacks general manager Mike Lieberman. “This organization has been able to achieve a great deal in the last four years, and we owe so much of that to our fans. So we’re going to celebrate this anniversary all season, and hopefully cap it off with the one thing that has eluded us in the past: a championship.”
Head coach Ben Taylor, who will return for his fourth year at the helm, was equally enthusiastic.
