QPR owner Bernie Ecclestone says the Premier League kickoff should carry on as scheduled despite the threat of more mob violence across the country.
Ecclestone – whose side host Bolton at Loftus Road this Saturday – insists football must not let the looters win.
The Formula One supremo and billionaire told the Daily Star: “It would send a terrible message to the world.
“I don’t think there’ll be a threat to QPR. I’ve spoken to people at the club who seemed quite confident the match will go ahead.
“The police seem to have managed to contain the things that have been going on.
“But there’s not much stuff that people can loot at the kind of people that have been active the last few days. Would we want to take a risk? It’s a difficult decision to make.
